The Vasuta corporation was founded by my great grand father Győző Ágoston Vasuta in 1867. In the year of the conciliation, his company worked on building iron-frame construction (stairway handrails, bars) and building engineering. (Széchenyi spa, Gellért spa, Patróna Hungária high school, Marczibányi tér boys’ and girls’ school, etc.)

After his death, his son – my grandfather – Győző Gusztáv Vasuta continued the work his father has started until his death in 1935.

Vasuta Gusztáv Ágoston

My father, Ágoston Gusztáv Vasuta, extended the company’s scope to include screw ware, which he continued till the nationalization in 1949.

I reestablished our company in 1976 as an artisan, under the name Vasuta Gábor Kazánok szervize (Vasuta Gábor boiler service). I established a nation-wide service network, and I became the warranty and after warranty boiler service of the companies Vasért, Vasedény, Szerelvényértékesítő (appliance seller), Ramovill, Skála and Titán. Moreover, I serviced the heating systems of large communal buildings, and I installed boilers.

Good years for my company started in 1989, when I became Hungary’s 6^th biggest tax payer citizen. In this year, the government of Miklós Németh gave the Hungarian firms an opportunity to establish a joint venture with foreign companies. In February, 1989, I posted an ad in the Frankfurter Allgemeniner Zeitung, that Vasuta Co. is looking for a professional investor. Quite a few companies, including world class organizations applied, with whom I started negotiations in the same year. In the 27^th of September, 1989 I established a Hungarian-Austrian joint venture. I bought out the Austrian part in 1999, since then the company is under 100% Vasuta ownership, in which my sons (Balázs Vasuta and younger Gábor Vasuta) have a 45-45% share, and I have 10%. The percentage of the ownership clearly shows that I give way to the future generations, so that the Vasuta dynasty could maintain its existence and augment its reputation on the market. It can be seen from our reference list, that we service and maintain the heating systems of Hungary’s strategically important buildings. We also provide a 365 day, 24 hour call center service for all of our partners. We undertake the servicing, maintenance, design, installation and obligatory re-examination of all kinds of heating systems, boilers and domestic hot water production devices. Our staff consists of highly qualified professionals.

Press releases

In my press statements from the last decade, I seem to have predicted today’s situation. Unfortunately it reached the Hungarian economy, no one listened to my advices.
